THE VENUE BAR
Stocked, staffed and part of the hire.
The bar is stocked and staffed by Thief Hall, and glassware is included.
WHY THE BAR IS NOT DRY HIRE
The bar is the exception.
Couples choose their own caterer and may choose their own suppliers. Thief Hall stocks and staffs the bar, and includes the glassware.
The service charge is applied per drinks section, never per bottle. Staff take, chill, serve and clear the couple's drinks, with glassware and water jugs included.
Tables are cleared of glassware and alcohol during the evening turnaround. The bar accepts cash and card, and four alcohol-free options are confirmed on the current drinks list.
An outside bar, such as a gin trailer, is possible. It brings its own licence, and only one licence can run on the day, so the Thief Hall bar, staff and lounge close while it operates. Agreeing that choice before booking the outside bar keeps the service plan clear.

THE LOUNGE
The bar and lounge hold the quieter gatherings.
The bar and lounge are available for the pre-wedding get-together. The lounge has a wood-burning stove, while the staffed bar remains part of the venue through the wedding day.
The rooms are connected, so the quieter seat and the next drink are not at opposite ends of the estate.
THE LATER FINISH
Until 2am, and after.
Licensed bar service ends at 2am. After that, guests can carry on with their own drinks for a later finish. The couple has exclusive use of the whole venue.
